President Xiang Yanxun welcomed Professor Mazerolle on his first delegation visit since taking office, briefed the guests on DHU's history and disciplinary development, and reviewed progress in cooperation between the two universities. Noting the strong complementarity between their disciplines, he said there is broad scope for cooperation in fields such as materials science, and expressed the hope that the visit would serve as a new starting point for closer research collaboration, multi-level joint talent development and two-way faculty and student exchange.
Professor Mazerolle thanked DHU for its hospitality and outlined UniSQ's profile and academic strengths. He said UniSQ attaches great importance to international cooperation and looks forward to drawing on the two universities' complementary disciplines to broaden research cooperation, strengthen faculty and student exchanges, and deliver more influential results.
After the talks, the delegation visited DHU's Exhibition Hall of Scientific and Technological Achievements and the showroom of the Civil Aviation Composite Materials Collaborative Innovation Center to learn about the university's research outcomes.
DHU and UniSQ signed an agreement on joint doctoral training in 2024, and the two universities have maintained close exchanges since then. The visit further consolidated their partnership and added new momentum to future cooperation.
