
WANG Zhidong
Wang Zhidong, female, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. Currently, she serves as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Donghua University and Dean of the School of Marxism.
She also serves as Member of the Expert Committee for the Integrated Development of Ideological and Political Courses across Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Education under the Ministry of Education, Vice Chairman of the Natural Philosophy Committee of the Chinese Society for Dialectics of Nature, Standing Director of the Chinese Society for Historical Materialism, and Distinguished Research Fellow of the Shanghai Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
She has won the Nominee for Influential Figures Among National University Ideological and Political Theory Teachers (2017), Shanghai Leading Talent, Teaching Master of Shanghai Ideological and Political Theory Courses, Young and Middle-aged Outstanding Talents in Marxist Theory Teaching and Research of Shanghai, and Shanghai March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter.
She has presided over more than 20 research projects, including programs funded by the National Social Science Fund of China. She has published five academic monographs and edited multiple textbooks. Over 100 articles by her have been published in publications such as Marxist Studies and People’s Daily. She has taken charge of one National First-Class Undergraduate Course and one Shanghai First-Class Undergraduate Course, and has received multiple awards, including National Teaching Achievement Awards, provincial and ministerial-level Teaching Achievement Awards, and Shanghai Outstanding Achievement Awards in Philosophy and Social Sciences.
