ZHANG Qinghua


Zhang Qinghua, male, Han nationality, born in July 1970 in Shandong, is a research professor and doctoral supervisor, and now serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Donghua University.


He graduated from Qingdao University in July 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Applied Chemistry. In March 1999, he earned his Doctor’s degree of Engineering in Materials Science from China Textile University (now Donghua University) and has remained at the University as a faculty member since then. At Donghua University, he previously held the positions of Vice Dean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Director of the Office of Development and Planning, Director of the Higher Education Research Institute, Director of the Discipline Construction Office, and Director of the "Double First-Class"Construction Office.


His research primarily focuses on specialty polymers and high-performance fibers. He has led over 30 projects inorganizations or programs like the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program of China, and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. As the first completer, he has been awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award once, the First Prize of the China Textile Engineering Association Science and Technology Progress Award twice, and the Special Award for Textile Science and Technology from the Hong Kong Sang Ma Trust Fund once. He has authored and edited two specialized books, and received numerous honors including Shanghai Leading Talent, Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leader, National-level Candidate of the "Hundred, Thousand and Ten-Thousand Talent Project", theYoung and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions, the Young and Middle-AgedLeading Talent inScience And Technology Innovation awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Leading Talent in the national "Ten-thousand Talents Program", and Sang Ma Scholar.


He also serves as the Chair of the Organic Fiber Composites Division, Chinese Society for Composite Materials.
