ZHANG Qinghua
Zhang Qinghua, male, a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), of Han ethnicity, was born in July 1970 in Shandong Province. He is a Research Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. Currently, he serves as Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee of Donghua University and Vice President of Donghua University.
He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Chemistry from the Department of Applied Chemistry, Qingdao University in July 1993. In March 1999, he graduated from China Textile University (now Donghua University) with a Doctoral Degree in Materials Science, and joined the faculty the same year, and has has worked there ever since. He has successively served as Deputy Dean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Director of the Development Planning Office, Director of the Institute of Higher Education Research, Director of the Academic Discipline Construction Office, and Director of the Double First-Class Initiative Construction Office of Donghua University.
His research focuses on special polymers and high-performance fibers. He has presided over more than 30 research projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program of China, State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, among other. As the first completer, he has received one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two First Prizes of Science and Technology Progress from China National Textile and Apparel Council, and the Grand Prize of Textile Science and Technology from the Hong Kong Sangma Foundation. He has published two books (monographs and edited works).
He has won a series of honors, including Shanghai Leading Talent, Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leader, National Candidate of the National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions to the Country, Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents in Scientific and Technological Innovation supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Leading Talent of the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program organized by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Sangma Scholar.
He concurrently serves as Chairman of the Organic Fiber Composites Committee of the Chinese Society for Composite Materials.
