LU Weibing
Lu Weibing, male, Han nationality, born in July 1977, is a doctor of engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor.vHe is currently a member of thevStanding Committee of the Party Committeeand Vice President of Donghua University.
From 1995 to 2002, he studied in the Department of Physics at Northeast Normal University and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. From 2002 to 2005, he studied in the Department of Radio Engineering at Southeast University and received his doctoral degree in Electromagnetic Field Theory and Microwave Technology.
From 2005 to 2025, he worked at Southeast University, successively as Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Office, Director of the High-tech branch of the Office of Science, General Manager of the National University Science Park, Deputy Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering, Executive Deputy Dean/Dean of the Office of Science, and (concurrently) Dean of the Applied Technology Institute. In 2013, he was selected as a “Hwa Ying Scholar” and went to the University of California San Diego (UCSD) as a visiting scholar.
In February 2025, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Donghua University.
His main research interests lie in the area of flexible radio frequency technology, including flexible electromagnetic materials, flexible microwave and millimeter-wave devices and circuits, flexible energy harvesting systems, flexible wireless communication systems, and intelligent electromagnetic computation and electromagnetic space digital twins. He has published over 120 SCI academic papers and authored the book Electromagnetic Properties and Applications of Graphene. He has presided over projects supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, by the Key Basic Research Program of Jiangsu Province, and by several other national and provincial programs. He has received multiple provincial-level awards, including the First Prize in Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province. He has been honored as an Excellent Scientific and Technological Member of Chinese Institute of Electronics and is a senior member of the Chinese Institute of Electronic, a senior member of IEEE, and an expert in China’s electronic information development strategy research. He was selected as a New Century Excellent Talent by the Ministry of Education, a member of the first batch of the “National Huang Danian-style Teaching Team” in universities, and a Distinguished Professor (Premier Support) in Jiangsu Province.
