On December 3, 2024, China Stem Cell Group and Donghua university (DHU) agreed on the joint establishment of an internship and practice base, and held a signing and unveiling ceremony. This marks the official commencement of the cooperation between the two parties.

Starting with the internship and practice base, both parties will deepen university-enterprise cooperation and collaborative education to jointly build an education system that meets industrial demands and keeps pace with technological development, building on complementary advantages and shared resources. It is important to further deepen industry-education integration and industry-university cooperation, so as to establish connection of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain, providing strong support for the cultivation of outstanding and innovative talents. The internship and practice base will fully leverage its advantages in talent cultivation, optimize curriculum settings, and promote the commercialization of research results to achieve resource sharing and mutual development, serving as a solid platform for cultivating excellent talents in biomedicine.
China Stem Cell Group, as the “national team” of the biopharmaceutical industry, possesses robust technology in the collection, preparation, testing, storage, research and development, and clinical transplantation applications of stem cells from various sources. It has made great contributions to ensuring public blood safety and advancing medical technology development. The establishment of the base is of great significance for enhancing students’ practical abilities and comprehensive qualities, and for promoting the deep integration betweenenterprises, universities, and research institutes. The Group will deepen cooperation with DHU to explore new approaches in teaching, scientific research, and talent training to nurture more high-level applied talents, thus contributing to the development of life sciences.

After the signing and unveiling ceremony, the two parties visited China Stem Cell Group to gain an in-depth understanding of the entire process of stem cell collection, preparation, testing, selection, storage, research and development, and clinical application. They also learned about the honors and achievements of the expert team of the Group and held discussions on the transformation of new quality production forces in the field of stem cells, the promotion of educational and teaching reforms, and the high-quality development of the biopharmaceutical industry.
The collaboration with China Stem Cell Group is a significant initiative for DHU to deepen educational and teaching reforms and enhance students’ practical abilities and social adaptability. It is also an important achievement for the College of Biological Science and Medical Engineering in promoting University-Enterprise cooperation and Industry-University-Research integration.
