Recently, the launching ceremony of the journal npj Soft Matter was held at the Songjiang campus of DHU. Wu Peiyi,Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and chief editor of the journal, delivered a speech at the meeting. Over 30 scholars in the field of gel materials were present.

Wu Peiyi noted that npj Soft Matter covers areas including soft matter, soft materials, and biomaterials. With the help of Nature Portfolio, a collective platform for journal services under Nature Publishing Group, it is hoped that npj Soft Matte will become a high-standard Open Access journal. As the chief editor, Wu adheres to rigorous academic attitudes and high-quality publication standards,committed to publishing innovative research in the field. He invited the experts attending the ceremony to submit their manuscripts to contribute to the development of the field of soft matter.

Liu Bo, Executive Publisher of the npj series and Regional Executive Editor of Nature Portfolio in China, presented a certificate to Wu Peiyi. Liu gave an overview of the Nature journal series, introduced their review processes and how editors select and handle manuscripts during the processes, and offered some writing tips for scientific papers.
