Recently, the awards ceremony for the 21st “HUAWEI Cup” China Postgraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CPMCM) was held at Shandong University. A total of 70 teams from DHU participated in the competition, with 17 teams winning awards. Among them, one team won the National First Prize, four teams the National Second Prize, and twelve teams the National Third Prize.

CPMCM is a flagship event within the China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Competitions. DHU’s Youth League Committee is dedicated to advancing high-quality research through the cultivation of top-tier talents. Through organizing this competition series, the committee has established a collaborative platform with various colleges. With a focus on strengthening foundational disciplines and fostering strategic thinking, multiple initiatives have been implemented to enhance postgraduate students’ creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, contributing to the cultivation of outstanding innovative talents.
Since its launch in June this year, CPMCM has attracted a record-breaking 20,247 postgraduate teams from 511 institutions across China and other countries. Aligned with the spirit of the National Education Conference, the event emphasizes strengthening foundational, emerging, and interdisciplinary disciplines while fostering top-tier talents. It aims to cultivate postgraduate students' innovation and improve the quality of their education. I.It serves as a platform for postgraduate students to enhance their mathematical modeling skills, apply internet and information technology to solve real-world problems, and develop scientific innovation and teamwork skills.
