XIANG Yanxun


Xiang Yanxun, male, of Han ethnicity, was born in May 1979. He holds a Doctor of Engineering degree, and is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. Currently, he serves as President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Donghua University.


From 1996 to 2003, he studied at the Department of Physics and Institute of Acoustics, Tongji University, where he obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees respectively. He graduated from the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology in 2011, earning a Doctoral Degree in Chemical Process Machinery. From 2003 to 2005, he worked at No. 726 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation‌. From 2005 to 2022, he was employed at East China University of Science and Technology and successively held posts including Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office (concurrently Director of the Admissions Office), Secretary of the CPC Committee and Dean of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, Executive Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the University CPC Committee, and Deputy Secretary of the University CPC Committee. He was appointed Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Donghua University in December 2022, and took office as President  and Deputy Secretary of the University CPC Committee in November 2024. 


He has led projects including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Special Fund for Research on National Major Research Instruments and Key Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program of China, as well as cooperative research programs with enterprises. He was selected into the 10th Shanghai Outstanding Young Scientists. He has received the First Prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (2024), the First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2019), and the First Prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award (2015), ranking first among the recipients for each award. He has published more than 140 SCI academic papers and obtained over 30 granted patents. He concurrently serves as a Standing Council Member of the Acoustical Society of China and Vice Chairman of the Testing Acoustics Subcommittee of the Acoustical Society of China.
