On June 25, College of Fashion and Design, Donghua University held a kickoff ceremony for a collaborative program withRichemont China at the University’s Yan’an Road campus. The event was attended by representatives from the DHU’s Academic Affairs Office and Student Employment Services Center, and over a hundred faculty and students. During the event, Mr. Wu Yijun, Managing Director of Dunhill China, Richemont, combined personal growth insights with industry perspectives in a detailed analysis of trends in the fashion industry and future talent demands. He also shared the historical background, development strategies, and future orientations of Richemont.

Richemont China and the College of Fashion and Design, Donghua University have signed a collaborative agreement. Built on previous groundwork, this partnership represents a further innovation in talent cultivation concepts and mechanisms, aiming to deepen and solidify the integration of industry and education in nurturing students. The program spans one year and includes classroom teaching, project-based learning, corporate internships, and fashion design competitions. Moving forward, both parties plan to expand their collaboration, injecting new vigor into the sustainable development of the fashion industry and the cultivation of high-quality innovative talents.
Further industry-education integration and a boost in synergy between universities and enterprises in nurturing talents are critical orientations in educational reform. This collaborative program is a significant step towards constructing a community for talent development between academia and industry, offering insights into the organic linkage of talent, education, industry, and innovation chains, and enhancing the adaptability of talent development to economic and social needs.
