Recently, as part of the series of forums during the 2023 World Design Cities Conference, the 2nd Hanfu Creativity and Copyright Forum was held. The forum was instructed by Donghua University, hosted by the Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center, and undertaken by Donghua University’s Shanghai International Fashion Innovation Center.

To further enhance the level of copyright services in Shanghai, explore the flourishing culture of copyright, and create the innovative path of original design, the Shanghai Copyright Administration established the Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center at Donghua University in September 2021. As the first comprehensive copyright service platform for Hanfu in China, the Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center has been organizing academic seminars, design competitions, copyright trading exhibitions, and other activities to attract original design talents. It aims to build a globally influential hub for Chinese traditional clothing design, fashion trends, and new product releases, thereby supporting the development of Shanghai as a world-class city of design.
