On April 18, DHU and Zhejiang Jiali Biotechnology Development Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony to license two patents, “rapid decomposition of organic solid waste” and “rapid drying of sludge.” The ceremony is hosted by Professor Cai Dongqing and attended by following personage: Li Yunmu, Chairman of the company; Kang Houping, Chief Consultant; Pan Gaozhi, General Manager; Ji Chengchang, Vice Dean of Institute of Science and Technology and Director of Industry-University-Research Cooperation Department; Song Xinsan, Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering; Mr. Liu Yanan, Vice Dean of College of Environmental Science and Engineering and related teachers.
After 3 years of scientific research, Cai Dongqing’s team from the College of Environmental Science and Engineering of DHU developed a 1-hour nano-rotting agent from 0 to 1. It proposes a unique molecular shearing effect and rapid rotting theory, which can turn organic solid waste, such as livestock manure and kitchen waste, into highly active organic fertilizer within 1 hour. Compared with traditional composting, the technology is disruptive in reducing the decomposition cycle from 30 days to 1 hour (720 times more efficient); it is almost 100% harmless, effectively eliminating the four major hazards (bacteria, hormones, antibiotics, heavy metals); the fertilization efficiency is significantly higher than that of traditional organic fertilizer, with xanthic 3-6% acid content (about 1% for traditional organic fertilizer), and the yield is 15-50% higher than that of traditional organic fertilizer. At the same time, it can save 70% of site and labor and reduce carbon by more than 30%.
