GENG Shaoning
Geng Shaoning, female, Han nationality, born in 1976, is an Associate Professor and Doctor of Philosophy, and now serves as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Donghua University Committee.
She has held several positions at Donghua University and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, including Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School of Computer Science and Technology at Donghua University, Associate Investigator of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Education and Health Work Committee, Minister of the Publicity Department of Donghua University, Chief of Moral Education Office of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Director of the Secretariat (Research Office) of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and Director of the Publicity Department (Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences) of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Education and Health Work Committee. She is currently the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Donghua University Committee and the Secretary of its Discipline Inspection Commission. She also serves as a council member of the 9th Board of the Ideological and Political Education Branch of the China Association of Higher Education.
She graduated in 1999 from China Textiles University with a Bachelor’s degree in Automation. She later obtained a Master’s degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering at Donghua University and a Ph.D. degree in Journalism at Fudan University. From September to December in 2009, she was a visiting scholar at the University of California San Diego, United States (UCSD). Her main research ranges from Party building, ideological and political education, higher education management, to journalism and communication.
She has been recognized as a National Outstanding Teacher, National Outstanding College Counselor and Shanghai New Long March Commando. She also won the Shanghai Municipal Ethnic Education Award.
