GENG Shaoning: Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the CPC Committee of Donghua University

Geng Shaoning, female, of Han ethnicity, a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), was born in 1976. She holds a doctoral degree and is an Associate Professor.


She has successively served as Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School of Computer Science and Technology at Donghua University, Deputy Researcher of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Education and Health Work Committee, Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Committee of Donghua University, Director of the Moral Education Division of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Director of the Secretariat (Research Office) of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and Director of the Publicity Department (Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences) of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Education and Health Work Committee. Currently, she serves as Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the CPC Committee of Donghua University. She also acts as a council member of the 9th Board of the Ideological and Political Education Branch of the China Association of Higher Education.


She graduated from China Textile University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Automation. She later acquired a Master’s Degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Donghua University and a Doctor of Literature in Journalism from Fudan University. From September to December 2009, she worked as a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), USA. Her research mainly covers Party building, ideological and political education, higher education administration, and journalism and communication studies. 


She has been honored as a National Outstanding Teacher, National Outstanding Student Counselor and Shanghai New Long March Pacesetter, and received the Shanghai Ethnic Education Award.
