DHU Professor Yang Jianping’s team, in collaboration with Professor Chen Jun from the University of Wollongong, Australia, recently published a review article Electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate - a step towards a sustainable nitrogen cycle on the internationally renowned journal Chemical Society Reviews.
The review article summarizes the basic principles of electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate, including reaction mechanism, reactor design principles, product detection methods and performance evaluation methods. Besides, it summarizes the recent research progress in electrocatalytic nitrate reduction of transition metals (especially noble metals and alloys), copper-based electrocatalysts and iron-based electrocatalytic.
