On January 7, the ceremony and exchange activity of “Great Teacher in My Eyes” for International students of DHU was held at Yan’an Road Campus. Teachers from related colleges and the entire International Cultural Exchange School assembly participated in the event.

International Students Association (ISA) organized online voting for international students at home and abroad to recommend the 2021 "Great Teachers in My Eyes" campaign. In the end, 30 teachers from 14 colleges were elected to the award list. "It is the greatest pride to be a teacher to be recognized by the students. We must do a better job in our teaching so that students here can feel the growth and gain from learning", said the teachers at the ceremony.

The award-winning teachers have performed well in their online teaching and are well received by the international students.
At the ceremony, teachers shared the strengths and weaknesses of those teaching software, such as Tencent Meeting, Wechat, Classin, Blackboard, VoiceThread, Canvas, and how to use them in classes by introducing vivid samples to combine them flexibly to achieve their teaching goals. Meanwhile, the topics of classes mixed with Chinese and international students and how to balance the quality of online and offline classes aroused an intensive discussion. Teachers exchanged their ideas about recording angles, radio methods, convenient after-class viewing, and PPT copyright based on that topic. Speeches were given by teacher Liu Yanan, Du Zhaoqun, Chen Ye, Li Demin, Xu Yang, Yang Zhongliang, Gao Yunhua, Li Yong, Gu Tongyu, Zhang Shunaii, Xu Tianlong, and Fu Kun.
Donghua University has a good tradition of international education, which has become an essential part of First-Class Subject and university’s internationalization. Due to the pandemic of Covid-19 in 2021, the Admission Office and Graduate School of DHU provided platforms for international students to take the courses and test online. In this case, teachers from various colleges cooperated actively to make sure over 400 courses involving international students in this semester run successfully, finishing their academic debate online. Meanwhile, they also worked hard on teaching and management work for international students abroad to ensure the training quality.
