Progress in electrocatalytic CO2 reduction made by Prof. Qiao Jinli's research team

Date:2021-03-07

The research team of Professor Qiao Jinli from College of Environmental Science and Engineeringmade important advances in the field of electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. The relevant result was published on Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, under the title ofSeparated Growth of Bi-Cu Bimetallic Electrocatalysts on Defective Copper Foam for Highly Converting CO2 to Formate with Alkaline Anion-exchange Membrane beyond KHCO3 Electrolyte”. The PhD student Peng Luweifrom College of Environmental Science and Engineering is the first author.

SEM images of a) copper foam, b) pristine copper foam, c) defective copper foam, d) pure Cu electrode, e) pure Bi electrode and f) Bi-Cu bimetallic electrode. XRD patterns of g) pure Cu electrode, h) pure Bi electrode and i) Bi-Cu bimetallic electrode.
