Progress made in biomaterials and tissue engineering by Prof. Mo Xiumei's research team

Date:2020-07-13

Professor Mo Xiumei's research group from State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials has made a series of new progress in the field of electrospun nanofiber meshes biomaterials for tissue regeneration. The relevant results were published in the mainstream journals of biomaterials, Acta Biomaterialia and Composites Part B: Engineering, with the title of “An Atorvastatin Calcium And Poly (L-Lactide-Co-Caprolactone) Core-Shell Nanofiber-Covered Stent to Treat Aneurysms and PromoteReendothelialization” and “Biodegradable Multifunctional Nanofibrous Membranes forPeriodontal Tissue Regeneration”. The first authors are Chu Jin, Zhu Jingjing and Liu Xuezhe from College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology respectively and the corresponding authors are Prof. Mo Xiumei and Lecturer Wu Jinglei of Donghua University, Prof. Wu Wang of the Sixth People's Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Dr. Zhu Tonghe of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Donghua University is the first completion unit.
