On June 23rd, the First "New Ambassador" Forum commenced on Songjiang Campus of Donghua University, with international students and related teachers participating in it. The forum was also broadcast live online with more than 6,000 online viewers. The excellent PhD graduate of the Textile College, Dr. Bilal Zaarour from Syrian, made a speech themed with “Faith, Dream and Struggling—My Overseas Study Life at DHU” and shared his experience of how to improve academic research and plan study life.

Prof. Yao Weixing, Dean of International Cultural Exchange School, said that Donghua University, as one of the universities to enroll international students at the first batch in China, has cultivated more than 40,000 international students since establishment 69 years ago. He hoped all students, through the stage of New Ambassador Forum, promote yourself and strengthen cross-cultural communications in DHU and become friendship ambassadors between China and other countries after graduation and take the friendship seeds to every corner in the world.a
