DHU teacher and student win Excellent Oral Report Award at 2019 Chinese Biomaterials Congress and International Symposium on Advanced Biomateria

The 2019 Chinese Biomaterials Congress and International Symposium on Advanced Biomaterials was held in Dalian from August 23 to 25. Li Chaojing, a teacher of the College of Textiles, and Dr. Yi Bingcheng from the research group of Professor Zhang Yanzhong of the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering, gave wonderful performances, thus obtaining the “Excellent Oral Report Award”.

Sponsored by the Chinese Society for Biomaterials (CSBM) and organized by Affiliated Zhongshan Hospital of Dalian University, the symposium is themed with Deep Integration of Biomaterials and Medicine, focusing on the latest developments, research hotspots, development prospects, etc. in biomaterial science and medicine, as well as topics such as transformation of results. The symposium established 115 sessions centering around 28 topics and set 30 places for Excellent Oral Report Award and 20 for Excellent Wall Poster Award. Among them, the winners of Excellent Oral Report Award were selected from nearly 900 oral speakers, who are young scientists with intermediate and below titles aged below 40.

More than 5,000 scholars, doctors and researchers engaged in the research, development, production, application and management of biomaterials and medical implanted devices from domestic and foreign research institutes and medical institutions, enterprises and regulatory authorities attended the symposium, including more than 20 Chinese and American academicians, more than 40 international authoritative experts, and relevant officials from National Medical Products Administration and U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The award winning of our teacher and student demonstrates our achievements in scientific research and education, and is of great significance for us to promote the disciplinary development of biomaterials and enhance the competitiveness of talents training.
