Vice-Chancellor Edward Peck of Nottingham Trent University Visited DHU

On October 31, the delegation of Nottingham Trent University led by its Vice-Chancellor Edward Peck visited Donghua University (DHU), received by Vice President Liu Chunhong and officers from the International Cooperation Office, Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation and International Cultural Exchange School of DHU.


Vice President Liu first extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and then briefed the international exchange, discipline setup and characteristics of DHU. After that, Vice-Chancellor Edward Peck stated that the two universities are similar in the long history of education in textile engineering as well as the characteristic discipline of design, based on which there is bound to be much space for future cooperation. Besides, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a school-to-school student exchange agreement in design, aiming to carry out multi-level and multi-dimensional cooperation in scientific research and talent cultivation.


After the meeting, the delegation visited the Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation and the Shanghai Museum of Textile and Costume, and spoke highly of the achievements made by DHU through cooperation with foreign institutes in running schools as well as the studies of clothing culture.


Nottingham Trent University, formerly the Nottingham Government School of Design established in 1843, is a public research university in Nottingham, England.
