On April 19, the Delegation of School of Chemistry from Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences (Reutlingen) comprising 5 teachers and 10 students headed by the Dean Professor Lawrence visited the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology of Donghua University (DHU). This visit is a part of “GO2CHINA” cultural exchange program initiated by Reutlingen.
The Reutlingen delegation visited the college building and laboratories of the Department of Biology, and exchanged views with our teachers on further strengthening the China-German cooperation in education. Dean Wu Peiyi, Vice Deans Yan Kelu and He Jinxin were involved in the exchange meeting. In the afternoon, teachers of the delegation interviewed DHU students that apply for learning in Reutlingen, while the students of the delegation listened to the class taught by Shi Xiangyang in English.
The Student Work Office of the college organized student volunteers to accompany the visiting students to visit the History Museum and the Science and Technology Museum of DHU. With this opportunity, the students of the two sides introduced the state, university and college situations to each other, enhancing the understanding of each other’s cultures.
15 years have passed since the major of Textile Chemical Engineering (Sino-German Cooperation) was co-established by DHU and Reutlingen, during which nearly 200 outstanding students have been selected to study in Germany, most of which have stayed in Germany or gone to other countries for continuing education. In the future, the two sides will continue the in-depth cooperation in talent training and professional accreditation.
