On March 31, Jiang Changjun, President of Donghua University (DHU), met with Professor Geoff J. Rodgers, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) at Brunel University, UK. Officials from the International Cooperation Office and Fashion • Art Design Institute also attended the meeting.
Jiang first extended his warm welcome to Rogers and his delegation on behalf of DHU. He then introduced the basic situation of DHU, and elaborated the status of international cooperation as well as the achievements and prospects of the university in fashion design, engineering and innovation & entrepreneurship. Rogers believes that DHU is quite unique in the research of clothing engineering, art design, cultural and creative aspects, and there can be a large number of cooperation opportunities between the two universities in scientific research and talent training.
After the meeting, Rogers and his entourage visited the Flash-Fire Manikin Laboratory, Laboratory of Thermal Sweating Manikin and Spacesuit Design Craft Room of Fashion • Art Design Institute, and had a brief academic discussion and exchange with relevant researchers. Finally, they visited the Shanghai Museum of Textile and Costume, highly praising the collection of precious Qipao and other costume.
