Vice President Liu Chunhong met with Dr. Nikola Tanic, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia in Songjiang campus. Officials from International Cooperation Office and International Culture Exchange School also attended the meeting.
Liu Chunhong extended a warm welcome to Dr. Nikola Tanic and introduced basic situation of Donghua University, cooperation with institutions from Serbia as well as Serbian students’ study in Donghua. Dr. Nikola Tanic praised the characteristic research in textile materials engineering, art design and cultural creativity of Donghua University and looked forward to further bilateral cooperation in scientific research and talent cultivation.
Subsequently, Dr. Nikola Tanic visited the Research Achievement Showroom and national key laboratory of College of Material Science & Engineering as well as the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology, during which he had a short academic discussion with Prof. Lu Changrui.
Donghua University has had many years’ cooperation with Serbia’s University of Novi Sad and also had an intimate collaboration with Mokrogorska School of Management. In recent years, there have been over 20 students studying in Donghua under the study abroad program and student exchange program with Serbia’s institutions.
