Young Designers from Fashion • Art Design Institute Won Awards at the Arts of Fashion Foundation Competition 2016

   Recently, the design works of two designers (graduates in 2016) from Fashion • Art Design Institute appeared at the Arts of Fashion Foundation Competition 2016 in San Francisco and was involved in the dynamic show. Under the guidance of Zhou Honglei and Mao Dan, Crime Scene designed by Lu Zheng was honored with Maison Lesage Award and Barren Soil designed by Zhang Huahao won the Manish Arora Award.

  It’s the first time for students from Donghua University to participate in AOF Competition and win awards. The concept and characteristic of teaching team of creative fashion from Fashion • Art Design Institute are comprehensively represented in the students’ works, which were well received by the judges. In particular, brand designer Marc Jacobs believes that Donghua students’ works are more complete and mature that those of other competitors.

It is learnt that AOF Competition with international prestige is aimed at providing an international exchange platform for young fashion designers around the globe. This year, the competition attracted world renowned fashion art design institutions from over 40 countries such as London College of Fashion and Parsons School of Design and 54 elite students competed for 8 awards.
