Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Science and Technology Held at DHU

    On May 20, Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Science and Technology (APCPST 2016) was at Donghua University. Chen Ge, Vice President of DHU, Academician Rod Boswell, Hong-Young Chang and Pu Yikang from the International Advisory Committee of the Conference attended the opening ceremony.

    On the opening ceremony, Chen Ge expressed a warm welcome to the experts in the field of international plasma science and technology research present at the Conference. He briefly introduced the history and status of Donghua University and hoped that the attendees would fully exchange academic views, promoting the further progress of research into plasma science and technology.

    Prof. Pu Yikang from Tsinghua University delivered a speech on behalf of Academician Wu Chengkang, the Chinese founder of APCPST.

    The Conference is an international academic event that is hosted by Donghua University under the authorization from CSTAM Plasma Science and Technology Committee. It is co-organized by Magnetic Confinement Fusion Research Center and State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials of Donghua University as well as Beijing International Center for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. During the 3-day agenda, altogether 6 academic reports and other 91 invited and oral academic reports were held, and 101 pieces wall newspapers were posted. More than 210 well-known experts and scholars in the field of plasma science and technology from Australia, Japan, South Korea, U.S., India, Pakistan and China discussed about the progress and core contents in the area of plasma science and technology in depth.
