Recently, President Jiang Changjun met with Chen Chen-kuei, President of Shih Chien University and his delegation, including Prof. Chang Yi-ching, Dean of the College of Design, and Xue Zongren, Director of Career Center at Shih Chien University, Lin Yuzhen, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Association of Taiwan. Officials from Career Service Center and HongKong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs Office also attended the meeting.
Jiang Changjun first extended a warm welcome to Chen Chen-kuei and his delegation. He introduced the general situation of Donghua University as well as the thoughts and vision of the university’s future development. Then the two sides reviewed the mutual cooperation in fashion art design and discussed the prospects for future cooperation in fields such as cultural innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to push forward the all-round cooperation in scientific research, curriculum exchange and talents cultivation.
Established in 1958 and located in Taipei, Shih Chien University is one the best private design institutions in Taiwan. Donghua University and Shih Chien University entered into a student exchange agreement in 2012, under which each side shall select 6 undergraduates to join the one-semester exchange program every year. Shih Chien University has participated in the performance at Greater Donghua Fashion Week for four conservative years since 2013.
