It is told that an increasing number of international students with art ambitions choose to study in China, or even work here. Many domestic colleges and universities are exploring how to improve international students’ study experience and educational quality. Wu Xiaojun, Vice Dean of International Cultural Exchange School, said, “It is of vital importance to make full use of professional advantages which shall be incorporated into international student education. Donghua University has taken the advantages of distinctive disciplines such as fashion and design, and encouraged students to work hard on professional studies. The university has built various platforms for exchanges and practice, such as design competitions and international student cultural festival, hoping that the students will make progress in both language and professional abilities and convert what they have learnt into effective support for their career. This is our original intention for the competition, a major effort made by DHU to serve the connotation construction of universities.”
