On April 13, Vice President Liu Chunhong met with Prof. Anna Kohler, the Vice President of the University of Bayreuth at the Yan’an Road campus. Officials from the International Cooperation Office and the College of Textile also attended the meeting.
Liu Chunhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation composed of 8 members from the University of Bayreuth. She introduced the general situation of DHU including the university’s history of development and distinctive disciplines as well as the thoughts and vision of future development. Then the two sides made an in-depth discussion on the all-round cooperation in student exchange, scientific research, teachers’ exchange and talent cultivation. To consolidate and expand the bilateral cooperation and promote the common progress, the two sides agreed on a Memorandum of Understanding. Vice President Liu Chunhong and Prof. Anna Kohler signed this important agreement.
Besides, representatives from the College of Textile and the Department of Macromolecular Material of the University of Bayreuth had an academic symposium, during which the two sides discussed the deep integration of Macromolecular Material and textile. Furthermore, the attendees had a profound discussion in terms of nanofiber based on electrospinning technology, organic semiconductor, gradient polymer material, the trend of polymerization engineering, microbial polymer materials, laminated functional materials, medicinal textile materials, solid materials, etc.
After the symposium, the delegation from the University of Bayreuth visited the labs of the College of Materials Science and Engineering and the College of Textile of DHU.
