On March 4th, Vice President Liu Chunhong met with Associate Vice PresidentSharmaand his delegation from Lingnan University in the campus on Yan’an Road. Relevant officials from the Office of HK, Macao and Taiwan Affairs also attended the meeting.
Liu Chunhong extended a warm welcome to Professor Sharma and his delegation. She introduced the general situation of Donghua University as well as the thoughts and vision of future development. The two sides discussed the prospects of further cooperation in fields such as management, visual communication, translation and Liberal Arts Education, aiming to push forward the all-round cooperation in science research, faculty exchange and talents cultivation.
Lingnan University is the only public liberal arts university in Hong Kong and has joined the Global Liberal Arts Alliance. In 2015, it was selected as one of the “Top 10 Asian Liberal Arts Colleges” by Forbes.Lingnan University has earned AACSB International Business Accreditation; only less than 5% of schools of businessworldwide have earned this distinguished hallmark of excellence. Donghua and Lingnan have had a long history of cooperation. The two sides jointly held graduate programs of business management under the approval of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission from 2003 to 2012.More than 40 students have benefited from the Students Exchange Agreement signed in 2008.
