On September 8, Vice President Liu Chunhong met with Christian Guellerin, president of French Nantes Atlantic Design Institute(Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique) and his delegation on West Yan’an Road campus. Visitors in the delegation included Ms Aude Hazard, the director of the Institute’s office in China, and Ms Chen Youyao from the French Consulate’s Cultural Office. Relevant staff from International Cooperative Office, Fashion & Art Design School and International Cultural Exchange School also attended this meeting.
At the meeting, Vice President Liu introduced to the delegation the internationally cooperative education programs in our university and the latest development in the International College of Fashion and Innovation. Both sides expressed their expectations to further deep mutual cooperation in students exchange and academic communication in the areas of preponderant disciplines. After the meeting, the delegation also visited the teaching buildings and offices of the International College of Fashion and Innovation. President Christian Guellerin thought very highly of our international pedagogical concepts, which could be concluded as dynamic, open and practical.
Founded by Nantes Business and Industry Association in 1988, French Nantes Atlantic Design Institute (Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique) is a private higher design institute, featuring in industrial design. It is the only key institute concerning design discipline appointed by the Education Ministry in France, and it’s also a member of the European Association of Design Institutes.
