This year, ITALK summed up the experience from the past and paid more attention on its personalized and specialized activities. Taking into consideration the hot weather and the constructions on campus, members of ITALK shot the campus guide video in their holiday, so as to provide all the freshmen opportunities to know about the campus vividly and directly as soon as possible.
An interesting meeting was also launched by ITALK on August 31. Both Chinese students and international students enjoyed the traditional Chinese food and tea there, and had a cheerful afternoon.
After the meeting, international students were invited by local students to go sightseeing in Shanghai, to have an in-depth understanding of Chinese culture. During the visit, in order to enable two Japanese students, who could not speak either Chinese or English, to communicate with Chinese students, ITALK especially found a Japanese translator to help. When this visit came to an end, many international students said that this was really an unforgettable day and they wished a next chance.
The application to ITALK started officially from this week. This semester, ITALK has planned the Model United Nations and many other brand new activities to be expected.
