On May 15th, 2012, a charity soccer invitational tournament organized by DHU International Students Association (ISA) was held in the mini-soccer pitch of the Yan’an Rd. Campus. 10 teams took part in the tournament with 7 boys and 3 girls in each. Nearly 5 hours’ tournament ended with Team DKFC’s champion.
All the funds raised by the tournament will be used to buy wet towelettes and diapers and then be donated to Shanghai Healing Home, a charity organization assists the local Chinese Children's Welfare Institute by providing pre- and post- surgical care to abandoned babies suffering from surgically correctable medical conditions.
On June 20th, 2012, the president of ISA Issac Asare, together with 3 other representatives from ISA, brought the wet towelettes and diapers to Shanghai Healing Home.
ISA extends heartful thanks to every student who has either taken part in or contributed to the tournament and we will hold more charity events to help people in trouble.
