They participated in the initial event of the Sports Meeting - the city’s Directional Challenge: the contestants are required to fulfill tasks in different spots of the city, including Jing’an Sports Center, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Lujiazui Central District, Shanghai Stadium, Xinjing Fire Squadron and Changfeng Park. Those spots streched across Huangpu District, Xuhui District, Jing’an District, Putuo District, Minhang District as well as Pudong New District. This competition was a real physical challenge and a test to their cooperation.

As the only international team formed by the enrolled university students, DHU international team attracted extensive attention from the media. Although it is comparatively more difficult because of the verbal communication and lack of familiarity to the destinations, all the team player expressed their great confidence. “We really appreciate this opportunity. Whatever the result is, we are the winners!” expressed by Issac Asare, the team leader.

When the four team players arrived at the destination, they felt very happy and satisfied though tired. “We did a good job! This activity helps us better understand the Chinese culture and make a lot of Chinese friends. We have learnt a lesson from it. We are looking forward to next year’s competition!”
