In order to improve the students’ interests in learning Chinese, International Culture Exchange School held the 4th ‘China Hand’ Chinese speech contest of the senior group on May 29th and the junior group on May 30th. The theme of the competition is ‘My……..’ . Some of the contestants were selected from non-degree Chinese programs. The others were from undergraduate program of Chinese Language, CIP as well as other majors.
The contest started with a female chorus "Jasmine" from International Chamber Choir. In the contest, the contestants showed their various skills. In addition to speech, some contestants also brought special performance such as story narration, singing songs, painting and other talents, which made all of the judges and audience feel the real emotion of the contestants.
Finally, Indonesian student Fransisca Rahardjo won the first prize of the senior group. South Korean student Baek Songiee and North Korean student Choi Ho Nam won the second prize. Colombian student Santiago Alvarez Carmona, North Korean student Hwang Kum Sok and Japanese student Kawase Yukako won the third prize. South Korean student Yang Se Young won the first prize of the junior group. South Korean student Kim Ji Young and Japanese student Fujino Reika won the second prize. Turkish student Dincer Mola and Hani, Brazilian student Edilene Jesus Mendonca and Irani student Hanieh Farkhondeh Aghideh won the third prize.
