On November 10, President Xu Mingzhi and Vice President Liu Chunhong met with Yamazaki Kouetsu, Assistant Principal and his delegation from Kanazawa University in Japan, accompanied by relevant staff from International Cooperation Office, College of Foreign Languages and International Cultural Exchange School.
President Xu welcomed Kanazawa University Delegation, introduced the development and discipline superiority of Donghua University, and hoped to further strengthen cooperation in faculty training and academic exchange. In the meantime, Assistant Principal Yamazaki Kouetsu also introduced the growth of Kanazawa University. He hoped to further improve the cooperation and communication between two universities with Japan’s Ministry of Education in support of “Project on Super-international University Development”.
Vice President Liu with Kanazawa University Delegation visited the Museum of Textile and Costume in our university. With DHU’s strategy for international development, Vice President Liu introduced the projects of undergraduates and graduates taught in English and interscholastic exchange students in CEP program. Then they probed into cooperation in the strategy for international development between two universities and hoped to further strengthen the cooperation in students exchange in the future.
Donghua University, more accurately, School of Material Science and Engineering, started to cooperate with Kanazawa University in 2000 on a research project. And an agreement on intervarsity cooperation and exchange was signed in 2011. Since then, DHU and Kanazawa University have played an active role in carrying out activities about students exchange and academic exchange among graduates.
