1）Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Textile Science and Engineering
Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Textile Science and Engineering was set up in 1991 and started recruiting post-doctoral researchers in 1992. It employs 32 professors, containing four doctoral specialties, namely Textile Engineering, Textile Material and Textile Design, Textile Chemistry and Dyeing and Finishing Engineering, and Apparel Engineering.
Its main research directions include textile engineering and non-woven Engineering, analysis and processing of textile images, textile processing chemistry, mechanic problems in textile processing, weaving process of high performance fibers, fiber assembly and composite material, preparation of textile composite, textile testing techniques and instruments, product development and performance study of warp knitting and knitted composite reinforcements, application of computer in knitting, textile material performance, filament texturation and fiber reinforced composite, functional finishes of textiles, functional polymer materials, dyeing and finishing and the environment, dyeing skills and theories of textiles, postprocessing of dyes and pigments and development of new textile chemicals, token of dyeing color and color matching, printing and dyeing and treatment of chemical effluent, coagulation of colloidal particles, etc.

2） Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Material Science and Engineering
Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Material Science and Engineering was set up in 1999 and started recruiting post-doctoral researchers in the same year. It employs 23 professors, covering disciplines of Polymer Material, Chemical Fiber and Material Processing Engineering, with a key state laboratory of fibers modification.
Its main research directions include high performance fibers and composite reinforcements, polymer material modification, chemical fibers, theory of fiber forming, study of high performance fibers, development and performance study of composite reinforcements, structure and performance study of polymer physical and chemical fibers, polymer materials, forming and strengthening of metallic materials, functional fibers and polymer materials, etc.

3） Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Control Science and Engineering
Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Control Science and Engineering was set up in October 2003. It employs 18 professors, containing Automation and Electrical Engineering Department, Institute of Automation, Institute of Economic Cybernetics and Systems Engineering, and a research center of Digital Textile and Apparel Technical Engineering under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
Its main research directions include intelligent system and intelligent control, neutral information system and modern stochastic control theories and applications, equipment and system of digital textile and apparel observation and control technology, economic cybernetics and systems engineering, etc.

4） Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Environmental Science and Engineering
Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Environmental Science and Engineering contains three doctoral stations, namely Environmental Science and Engineering (first-level discipline), Environmental Science (second-level discipline) and Environmental Engineering (second-level discipline), among which Environmental Engineering has been entitled as one of Shanghai’s key disciplines. The research center has committed itself to the research and study of frontiers in environmental science and engineering, followed the tracks of the latest international environmental science theories and techniques without delay, and won many awards for progress in science and technology and invention. Several achievements in scientific research have reached domestic leading level or international advanced levels. It has now shouldered and accomplished more than 70 projects, including NDRC technological innovation project, special subject of national 973 project, 863 project of Ministry of Science & Technology, projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation, major science and technology project in Shanghai, provincial projects and horizontal research projects. It has abundant research funds and a complete set of instruments and equipments. It employs 25 professors and researchers.
Its main research directions include theories and techniques of water pollution control, theories and techniques of air pollution control, cleaner production and waste resourcization, monitoring and analysis and planning management of environment, environment-friendly materials and green chemical industry, recycling economy and industrial ecology, etc.

5） Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Mechanical Engineering
Post-doctoral Mobile Research Center on Mechanical Engineering was set up in 2007 and started recruiting post-doctoral researchers in the same year. It contains two doctoral disciplines, namely Mechanical Design and Theory, and Mechanical Manufacture and Automation. Its main research institutes include engineering research center of textile equipment under the supervision of Ministry of Education, institute of new textile mechanics, institute of modern design methodology and application, institute of advanced manufacturing technology and integrated manufacturing system, institute of forming and strengthening of spare parts, institute of mechatronics system and control, etc. It employs 13 professors.
Its main research directions include techniques and equipments of textile processing, mechatronics system and control, forming and strengthening of spare parts, advanced manufacturing technology and integrated manufacturing system, dynamics and mechanism of complex mechanical system, modern design methodology and application, etc.
