President Xu Mingzhi had a meeting in the afternoon of September.7th with Robert Griffiths, Consulate General of United States in Shanghai, who came to our school especially for ’25 Quiltmakers in 21st Century America’ exhibition. Vice President Liu Chunhong and the head of International Cooperation Office also attended the meeting.
President Xu made a brief introduction to the development of Donghua University and its international cooperation and communication, and welcomed Robert Griffiths, who had never visited this university before. Also, President Xu wished this one-month-long exhibition a thorough success. Meanwhile, Consulate General expressed his sincere thanks to the support and assistance from Donghua University, and hoped this exhibition could further improve the cultural and educational cooperation and communication between China and the United States.
After the meeting, Griffiths attended the opening ceremony of ’25 Quiltmakers in 21st Century America’ exhibition in the Shanghai Museum of Textile and Costume in our university, accompanied by Vice President Liu and relevant staff.
