DHU's Sino-Japanese Cooperation Program Collaborates with GTHS in University-Enterprise Cooperation Program to Jointly Create a Designer Brand

On March 26, the report and showcase of the university-enterprise cooperation program between Donghua University's Sector of Sino-Japanese Cooperation Project and GTHS concluded at the EKA in Shanghai. Guests invited to attend this event included Jin Zhijiang, Chairman of GTHS in Jiangsu, Qiu Gao, former Vice President of Donghua University, Li Jun, General Manager of Donghua University Investment Management Co., Ltd., and Wang Chaohui, Deputy Dean of College of Fashion and Design, who have witnessed the students' study achievements and wonderful performances together.


The works exhibited in this exhibition are from the "Free Research" program of the Sino-Japanese cooperation project of 2021. In this university-enterprise cooperation program, students participated in the co-creation of NOÈSE 2024 autumn and winter "Electronic Nomad" series, a buying brand under GTHS. NOÈSE fully respected and encouraged students' free creation, demonstrating its support for young emerging designers. The course started in September 2023. Under the careful guidance of mentors from both the university and GTHS, students deeply experienced the complete operation process of designer brands, from market research to design styles, and then to the production of clothing. The teachers and students of the Sino-Japanese project also fully demonstrated their design talents and exquisite skills. In the end, they presented a series of clothing works that not only carried the brand's imprint, but also were full of youth cultural attitudes.

The series jointly released with the brand this time collides the future virtual world with traditional ethnic culture. Students make bold innovation in materials, and after repeated dismantling, analysis, reconstruction, and adjustment, they leverage multiple techniques such as burning, pressing, and washing to create fusion and create more Eastern atmosphere. This cooperation with the brand is not only demonstrative of the students' unique insights into future lifestyles, but also an implication that NOÈSE will continue to deepen its Eastern style and engage in in-depth dialogue and interaction with the young generation of China, jointly creating a better future.
