International Cultural Festival and Study Fair Held at DHU

On October 21, the 10th International Cultural Festival and the 3rd Study Fair of DHU were held at Yan’an Road Campus of DHU. Students from 27 countries set up their own cultural exhibition booths at the cultural festival. At the same time, the International Cooperation Office and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office put up 10 education exhibition booths introducing American, British, Australian, and other DHUinternational exchange programs.Thousands of Chinese and foreign teachers and students as well as alumni gathered together to experience various cultures and celebrate the 72nd anniversary of DHU. Li Wei, Vice President of DHU, attended the event.


This year marks the 10th anniversary of the proposal to jointly build the the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Over the past decade, DHU has actively engaged in the joint construction of the BRI, and cultivated a total of more than 11,000 international students from various countries participating in BRI.


At the opening ceremony, representatives of the DHU International Student Alumni Association and overseas branch presidents were awarded the BRI Alumni Ambassador Certificate. Six newly-added companies were also awarded as internship bases for international students. The “DHU International Student Education Development Fund” was inaugurated at the event.


At the event, students enthusiastically displayed costumes, food, handicrafts and exciting international cultural performances. Many students came to the studyfair booths  to inquire about international exchange, education overview and details  of the universities of various countries (regions).

Since 2018, DHU’s biennial International Cultural Festival has become an important event for students from various countries to showcase their own cultures, enhance cross-cultural communication, and create a campus atmosphere with an international vision. It has received enthusiastic participation from both Chinese and international students.
