Progressin Single Particle Electrochemistry Made by Researcher Chen Qianjin’s Team

Date:2023-05-28

Recently, Researcher Chen Qianjin from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of DHU, collaborating with Professor Zengjie from the University of Science and Technology of China, made new progress in Single Particle Electrochemistry. By using SECCM, the research team achieved the study of the single Pd nanocrystal electrocatalytic hydrogen precipitation reaction and directly investigated the role of catalyst surface stress on reaction activity by comparing the reaction behavior of nanocrystals with different surface stresses.

The research provides directevidence for the dependence of catalytic activity on surface stress and offers a new research strategy to extensively explore the modulation of stress effects on electrocatalytic reactions.

The relevant research result Exploring the Strain Effect in Single Particle Electrochemistry using Pd Nanocrystals is published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition. Zhao Jiao, a master’s student in the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of DHU, Class of 2020, and Wang Menglin, a Distinguished associate researcher at the University of Science and Technology of China, are the paper’s co-first authors. Chen Qianjin and Zeng Jie are the corresponding authors. And Donghua University is the sole communication institution.
