January 12, the "Donghua University - Anta Group Joint Innovation Center Signing Ceremony was held at Songjiang Campus.
Yu Jianyong, President of DHU and Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chen Nanliang, Vice President, Sun Yize, Director of the Innovation Center for Textile Science and Technology, Zhen Jie, Executive Director of Anta Sports, Li Ling Vice-President of Anta Sports, and Li Su, Vice-President of Anta Sports, attended the signing ceremony.
The heads of the relevant departments and the scientific research institutions of the university presented the ceremony, as well as the representatives of faculty and students. The ceremony was hosted by Ding Bin, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology.
Yu Jianyong welcomed the arrival of all guests and thanked Anta Sports for its long-standing support for DHU.
He said that Donghua University would take the construction of the Joint Innovation Center as an opportunity by following the shared goal of creating a "World-Class" research institute, and by fully utilizing the advantages of DHU and Anta's scientific in the field of innovation and design, to develop a comprehensive and deep cooperative partnership.
By combining the technical innovation with the DHU's studies of basic applications of sporting goods in the broader scope, a higher level, and a deeper degree, DHU and Anta Sports will provide major national events, such as the Beijing Winter Olympics, with effective and efficient technological research services, to promote China's national sporting industry in better commercial standing.

At the ceremony, Zheng Jie expressed that it was a great honor of Anta Sports to cooperate in Industry-University-Research integrated withsocial academic resources, exploring forward-looking research and achieving rapid transformation in practical use, promoting the shift from “Made in China" to “Design in China" in the sports goods industry. For that aim, the Chines sports good industry could better capture a more prominent marketing place in China and the global market.

It is reported that the joint innovation center will be constructed in the following five years, which mainly focus on Technology Empowerment, Chinese Design, and Talent Training. In the scientific and technological R&D, both parties will conduct joint research on new materials development of sneakers and sportswear and fabric technology, andon the intelligent manufacturing technology, especially the sustainable development of scientific and technological materials. In the area of the original design, DHU and Anta Sports will carry out joint research on product design, fashion design, and functional design of sneakers and sportswear. In addition, DHU and Anta Sports will continuously strengthen the talent training and cooperation exchange, such as setting up traning base for undergraduates and graduates, creating joint training mechanism for graduates, providingCorp.
