The 13th “Fengming Cup” Chinese Song Singing Contest for International Student Held

On May 26, the 13th “Fengming Cup” Chinese Song Singing Contest for International Student was held in the form of Internet broadcast. The contest was broadcast live around the world, showing videos of Chinese songs sung by 10 students from Ukraine, Thailand, Algeria, Mongolia, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Indonesia and Japan. An online voting were held, with more than 6,000 online viewers.

Although Mo Hanwen from Algeria has just started to learn Chinese, he affectionately sang the song “We Are Different” expressing the difficulties faced by students studying in foreign countries and their determination to fight hard, which deeply moved the online and offline audience. Li Zhongjun from Thailand sang the song “Chengdu” first, then gave dance performance while singing hot song, pushing the atmosphere to the exciting climax. After an hour’s wonderful competition, Wei Duoduo from Indonesia has been acknowledged by the judges with the impeccable music performance and exquisite video effects, finally winning the first prize of the contest. This event helped to deepen students’ love for Chinese songs, and strengthen their ability to sing Chinese songs, so that their hearts will be closer to DHU.
