Li Zhong Won the “Excellent Paper Award for the Youth of World Artificial Intelligence Conference”

Date:2020-07-14

Recently, the third World Artificial Intelligence Conference opened in Shanghai, and the “Excellent Paper Award for the Youth of World Artificial Intelligence Conference” was officially issued. Li Zhong, Teacher of College of Information Science and Technology of our university, was the only female scientist among the 20 winners.

For the first time, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference had set up Excellent Paper Award for the Youth, which was aimed at young scientists aged 40 and below. The papers to be evaluated must be published in academic journals or academic conferences from 2017 to 2020.

Li Zhong's research focuses on the combination of artificial intelligence and vehicular networks. In the 5G era, vehicle users will frequently associate with a large number of heterogeneous base stations. In view of the fact that the current base station load allocation strategy can not cope with the rapid changes of vehicular networks, the paper explores the law of time and space of the access flow of vehicular networks. According to the innovation of the law of space-time flow, the problem is modeled as a reinforcement learning model, and on this basis, a strong reinforcement learning access allocation strategy based on historical similarity is proposed. In the real scene of the traffic flow of Qiangsheng taxis, when the vehicles access to the base station in large quantities, the base station can quickly and intelligently match the optimal access strategy according to the learned experience.

Li Zhong, born in 1984, is an associate professor of Department of Communication of College of Information Science and Technology. She has been engaged in the research of intelligent vehicular networks for a long time, and has accumulated many excellent achievements in mobile computing and service of intelligent vehicular networks, and intelligent security and data transmission of 5G vehicular networks. In recent years, she has published more than 30 papers and 2 monographs in international well-known journals, including the first monograph on mobile information service of smart city network published by Springer. She has presided over National Natural Science Surface Project Fund, Shanghai Morning Star Talent Program, National Natural Science Youth Fund, and Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Sailing Talent Program, etc., and participated in 2019 National Key R&D Program as the key personnel. At present, she is Secretary General of Network Special Committee of Shanghai Computer Society, Executive Member of ACM Shanghai, and Member of CCF YOCSEF Shanghai.

It is reported that Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information launched the selection of “Excellent Paper Award for the Youth of World Artificial Intelligence Conference” on April 23, in order to promote the growth of young talents in the field of artificial intelligence, encourage innovative research, promote scientific and technological progress in the field of artificial intelligence, and help Shanghai speed up the construction of the National Artificial Intelligence Development Highland. Tsinghua University, Peking University, Stanford University, Oxford University and other well-known universities at home and abroad, as well as more than 80 units including Huawei, Tencent and other enterprises at home and abroad, participated actively in the selection, and a total of 184 papers were submitted. After the preliminary and final evaluation of experts, 10 papers were selected to win “Excellent Paper Award for the Youth of World Artificial Intelligence Conference”, and 10 papers won the nomination award
