On December 10, Juan Cruz, Dean of the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA), visited Donghua University (DHU) to engage in academic exchange and explore opportunities for further cooperation.

Chen Ge, representing DHU, welcomed the ECA delegation and noted that, supported by a well-established exchange mechanism, the two institutions have developed a solid partnership in fashion, design, and other creative disciplines. Chen added that DHU is currently strengthening its design programs and expanding international engagement. He hoped that the visit would further advance cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and joint platform development, thereby deepening the strategic partnership.
Juan Cruz spoke highly of the long-standing collaboration between DHU and ECA, commending the two sides’ achievements in design innovation, arts education, and cross-cultural exchange. He noted that the visit not only consolidated existing cooperation but also provided an important opportunity to plan higher-level collaborative initiatives.
During the visit, both sides held in-depth discussions on expanding undergraduate education models and enrollment, enhancing master’s and doctoral training, and optimizing resource coordination. They agreed to maintain close communication to ensure the steady progress of ongoing and future cooperative projects.
Looking ahead, DHU and ECA will continue to broaden and deepen their collaboration, working together to cultivate outstanding design and art talents with a global perspective and strong innovative capacity.
