On May 16, President Yu Jianyong of DHU had a meeting with Ravi Rajan, President of the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), Ye Ling, Chief Representative of CalArts China and Special Advisor to the President and Dai Guangqi, Executive Director of CalArts China at Yan’an Road Campus of DHU. The meeting is attended by Li Wei, Vice President of DHU and Zhao Mingwei, Director of the International Cooperation Office of DHU.

Yu Jianyong welcomed the CalArts delegation, and introduced the basic situation of DHU, especially the progress in discipline construction, talent training, scientific research, international cooperation and exchange in recent years. Yu Jianyong said that DHU attached great importance to the cooperation and exchange with CalArts, and hoped that the two universities could feature their characteristics, give play to complementary advantages, increase communications in the field of special disciplines and talent training, and establish a future-oriented cooperation relationship.

Ravi Rajan briefly introduced the history and discipline development of CalArts, and expressed that the two universities have great cooperation potential. He hoped to work together with DHU to innovate talent cultivation mode and establish a link of humanities exchange between China and the United States.
