11 majors of DHU were selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 1 as the provincial first-class undergraduate major construction site according to the lists of national and provincial undergraduate major construction sites in 2021 recently issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Education of China (MOE). Up to now, 29 majors of DHU, 52.7% of all the majors, have been selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. They span all colleges of DHU, covering engineering, science, art, management and literature.

The MOE has planned to construct 10,000 national first-class undergraduate major sites and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites from 2019 to 2021. Now there are 11,761 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 15,727 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.
