Two disciplines of Donghua University, “Materials Science and Engineering” and “Fashion and Design”, have been ranked among the top 500 in the world in the 12th QS World University Rankings 2022. Among them, the ranking of “Materials Science and Engineering” has risen from the top 300 last year to the top 250 this year, ranking 28th in China. “Fashion and Design”, selected for the first time, is ranked top 200 in the world and 8th in China.

In February 2022, two disciplines of DHU, “Materials Science and Engineering” and “Textile Science and Engineering”, were selected as the “Double First-Class Initiative” (world-class universities and first-class disciplines) construction disciplines in China. “Materials Science and Engineering” was newly selected. In March 2022, “Materials Science and Engineering” was newly ranked in the top 1 % of ESI rankings.
