Chen Ge, on behalf of DHU, congratulated on the opening of this event and expressed thanks to CCTV Shanghai and the Organizing Committee of Shanghai Fashion week for the invitation. He said that CCTV Shanghai had become one of Shanghai’s new landmarks since its establishment one year ago. This event would further help build an industrial service upgrade platform and shape a new look of the industry. He also said that DHU would take this event as an opportunity to actively promote friendly cooperation with CCTV Shanghai, further work together to promote the development of the fashion creative industry, and contribute our wisdom and strength to the construction of Shanghai as a fashion city and its reform and development in the new era.

This special fashion show launched 11 collections and 43 new clothing designs, selected from works by students of Fashion & Art Design School of DHU, some of which have won awards at the London Graduate Fashion Week and China Graduate Fashion Week this year. These bold and imaginative designs were based on the theme of “daily behaviors”, with inspiration coming from the details of daily life. Students modified the ready-made fabrics and printing processes twice or more, not only making breakthroughs in styles and color combinations, but also representing the new creative trends of contemporary college students in terms of cultural symbols, craft structure, emotional communication, and trend attitudes.

The works by DHU students go to the world one after another, and our target is to become a fashion source for Shanghai, even China and the whole world. In the future, the cooperation between DHU and CCTV Shanghai will have broad prospects. Both parties will give full play to their advantages and make new and important progress in exploring new models of cooperation between media and universities.
