2015 Fall Semester International Students Graduation Ceremony was held on 9th January. Compared to the ceremony of last year, there is a special link. In order to provide more opportunities for international students, Donghua University communicated with many enterprises and established 11 internship bases for international students which helps them a lot in future career. Vice President of Donghua University, Prof. Liu Chunhong made a speech and unveiled the nameplate with representatives of the enterprises.
Prof. Liu thanked each enterprise for their supporting to international students . She said establishing international student internship bases and cultivating international talents with enterprises together is a good way for international student s to understand China and learn professional skills. At the same time, it can make a chance for international students and enterprises to help each other.
On the graduation ceremony, Prof. Liu also introduced the development of international student education in Donghua university. As early as 1954, Donghua University commenced to accept international students who were among the first group of overseas students enrolled by Chinese universities. To date, Donghua University has brought up a huge number of international students from over 140 countries. Almost all of undergraduate programs, postgraduate and research programs are open to international students.
In recent years, the university dedicates itself to the spirit of open education, to improve the quality of cultivation, pay special attention to Chinese traditional culture education, guide the exchanges between the Chinese and international students. Donghua University strives to build multi-level education programs and continue to strengthen ties with alumni. In March 2015, the university established the first overseas alumni association-the Kenya Alumni Association. In October, the university established the Lao Alumni Association.
Vice President of Donghua University, Prof. Liu Chunhong sent graduates blessings and hoped them to work diligently, dare to innovate, to be the bridge between China and foreign countries.
