Donghua Confucius Institute at Moi University, Kenya embraced her first Confucius Institute Day (hereinafter referred to as CID) on September 26th 2015, which also marked 11th anniversary of the establishment of the Confucius Institute celebrated by more than 400 Confucius Institutes worldwide.
The theme of the first CID was “Exchange Culture through Delicious Foods”. The Management and faculty of Moi University and Local citizens were invited to attend the event. The faculty and students from Confucius Institute worked together to design the eye-catching posters which introduced Chinese cuisine culture and delicious Chinese-Kenya food cooked by local students on the event. Not only the Chinese cuisine cultures were introduced to the Local people but also the collaborations between Donghua and Moi were strengthened through all the activities on this special day.
