From May 17 to 22, Vice President Chen Ge led a delegation to Japan and Hong Kong SAR, China. They attended the undergraduate education program council for the Fashion and Fashion Design major, jointly organized by Donghua university and the Japan Bunka Fashion College, and also visited institutions and universities such as the Japan Education Foundation, the University of Tokyo, and Sophia University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as well as met with local alumni representatives.
At the council meeting for the undergraduate education program in Fashion and Fashion Design, Dean Sachiko Aihara met with the delegation. Both sides reported on the situation of international students in 2026 and conducted in-depth discussions on topics of mutual concern, including the annual report on China-Japan cooperation projects and study abroad specializations, reaching consensus. During their stay in Japan, the delegation conducted on-site research with the Japan Educational Foundation, the University of Tokyo, and Sophia University, deeply studying the development paths of world-class universities and local private universities, providing valuable reference for our university's "Double First-Class" initiative. The delegation also visited members of our university's Japan Alumni Association leadership team and alumni representatives, reporting on the school's recent developments, and the alumni expressed their encouragement for the school's achievements.

On May 21, the delegation left Japan for Hong Kong, and visited our university's long-term partner —the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Dan Li Shi, Associate Vice President, warmly received the delegation. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as undergraduate and graduate teaching reforms, especially teaching changes in the era of artificial intelligence. During their stay in Hong Kong, the delegation also visited He Zhiping, a board member and outstanding alumnus of the Class of '79 in the Mechanical Machinery School, expressing gratitude for his contributions to the alma mater and sincerely inviting him to return and experience the school's development achievements firsthand.
